Blades loan Fasko-Rudas and Kucerik to overseas teams

Martin Fasko-Rudas (170GP, 35G, 37A with Everett and Saskatoon) has been loaned by the Blades to HC ’05 Banska Bystrica of Slovakia’s top professional league. Last season split between the Blades and the Silvertips, Fasko-Rudas scored 14 goals and added 12 assists in 40 games. He was dealt to the Blades on January 10th from the Swift Current Broncos just hours after they had acquired him from the Everett Silvertips. Fasko-Rudas represented Slovakia at the IIHF World Junior Championships in 2020 scoring once and adding an assist in his team’s five games.
Radek Kucerik (49GP, 3G, 10A with Saskatoon) was loaned to HC ZUBR Prerov of the Czech2 league. The Kyjov, Czech Republic native was the Blades second-round selection in the 2019 CHL Import Draft. Last season the defenseman scored three goals and added 10 assists in 49 games with the Blades. Kucerik also represented his country at the IIHF World Junior Championships in 2020. He had no points in five games.
As of August 21, the Blades have yet to make an official announcement regarding the loans of Fasko-Rudas or Kucerik. Both players are to be returned to Saskatoon when the official start of training camp happens.

Ben Wilson (138GP, 8G, 29A with Calgary 09-11) has signed with the ASC Corona Brasov of the Erste Liga in Romania. It is the defenseman’s first season overseas following nine seasons in North America. Last season with the Kalamazoo Wings (ECHL), his seventh with the team, Wilson scored four goals and added 11 assists in 60 games.
