Daily Dose of the Dub: Blades hand Raiders their second regulation loss, halt Leason’s point streak

Leason held off score sheet for first time this season

Prince Albert forward Brett Leason saw his 30-game point streak snapped on Sunday as the Saskatoon Blades defeated the Raiders 1-0. It was just the second regulation loss of the season for Prince Albert.

Otherwise it was a pretty quiet night of news around the WHL.

Three stars of the night:

  1. Nolan Maier (Saskatoon) – Stopped all 32 shots as the Blades blanked the Raiders 1-0, dealing them their first regulation loss of the season.
  2. Dustin Wolf (Everett) – Turned aside all 21 shots faces as the Silvertips shut out the Chiefs 2-0. Now sporting an eight-game winning streak.
  3. Egor Zamula (Calgary) – Scored two goals and added an assist in the Hitmen’s 6-3 win over Kamloops.
