The New York Rangers have cut Vancouver Giants alum Ty Ronning from their training camp roster. A seventh-round pick by the team in 2016, Ronning was always a long shot to make the roster this year. He’ll spend the upcoming season with the Rangers’ AHL affiliate, the Hartford Wolf Pack. Joining Ronning among the eight cuts is former Everett Silvertips’ and Regina Pats’ winger Dawson Leedahl, who’ll also be in Hartford this season. In 38 games with the Wolf Pack last season, Leedahl potted two goals and six assists.
