The Kelowna Rockets sent a third-round pick to the Saskatoon Blades on Thursday in exchange for forward Michael Farren. Farren, a Surrey, BC native, will be playing much closer to home after being unsatisfied with his role on the team according to Blades’ GM Colin Priestner. He put up a goal and four assists over the first eight games of this season.
Gulka leaves the Chiefs

Spokane Chiefs’ forward Sean Gulka has chosen to leave the team. Gulka appeared in just eight WHL games over the last two seasons, and played 98 games with the Langley Rivermen of the BCHL between 2016-18. His WHL rights have been transferred back to the Victoria Royals, who selected him in the ninth round of the 2015 WHL Draft.
Raiders reassign Belcourt
The Raiders have reassigned 2000-born defenceman Konrad Belcourt to the Fort McMurray Oil Barons of the AJHL.
The Raiders roster now sits at two goaltenders, seven defencemen, and 13 forwards.

The Kootenay ICE have named their leadership group, opting to go without a “C” this season. Dallas Hines, Brett Davis, Keenan Taphorn, Peyton Krebs and Cam Hausinger will all be assistant captain this season. 1998-born Hines is the veteran of the group, now in his fourth season with the team, while 2001-born Krebs is the youngest.
