Banner Week for DUBNetwork.ca

I personally wanted to reach out to everyone who has been supportive of what we are collectively trying to accomplish here on the #DUBNetwork.

This week has been fantastic for us as a whole group.

First of all, the guys over at #DraftGeek released their first of many newsletters. They have some interviews with a couple of WHL drafted players, one headed into the NHL Entry Draft and one who was just selected in the WHL Bantam Draft. There are scouting reports, mock drafts, and rankings for the upcoming NHL and WHL drafts. To take a look at:  https://www.dubnetwork.ca/downloads/drafgeek-newsletter-issue-1/ You can follow Brennen @draftgeekhockey and Brayden @sullydraftgeek

Also the guys over at #WHLUnfiltered produced their 2nd Podcast. This week’s guest was Bill Wilms of WHL on Shaw. Bill is an avid golfer and was a very well spoken guest on the issues of the day. There is a contest near the end of the podcast however you’ll want to listen to the whole thing for the contest clue. Download it here: https://www.dubnetwork.ca/whl-unfiltered/ or if you are an Apple iTunes listener you can get the download here: https://t.co/fGCC1pWBaw You can follow Chad @hawkeyblog and Jeff @jeffhollick

Earlier this week, we requested some donations to help support DUBNetwork and its partner sites. This was a difficult decision to make. We did receive some and they are greatly appreciated. Thank you to everyone who donated. The link to donate is here: http://stats.dubnetwork.ca/ (bottom left) if you are interested in helping us recover some of our costs, as well as afford some upgrades to the various equipment used among our sites.

More exciting things happened for us as well this week. Today we reached 100,000 page views. The site has only been around for just over 6 months and our goal was to hit that mark after 1 year. The support from everyone from the League Office, to the Team Offices, the players and the broadcasters, and of course the fans has been nothing short of overwhelming. We appreciate every interaction we can have with you all. We also hit 1000 followers on Twitter. This is nothing short of amazing. Thank you to you all as well.

I would like to finish this article off by opening the mailbag. We are all open to answering your questions, from anyone and everyone, on any WHL related topic. Please send your emails to p.figler@whlstats.ca by February 20th and I will makes sure that everyone involved in our site participates. Your questions will be answered in an article by March 1st, 2017. I look forward to your submissions.

I can be followed on Twitter @rdfigs19 or our company handle @dub_network

A million thank yous. Looking forward to future!
