The number of votes sure increased in the polls during the last half of the second round. I’m not sure there were any upsets in the second round in my mind, although the amount in which some teams won was pretty shocking. The second round had us waving goodbye to the Prince George Cougars, Kamloops Blazers, Lethbridge Hurricanes, Red Deer Rebels, Moose Jaw Warriors, Saskatoon Blades, Edmonton Oil Kings, and Portland Winterhawks. We are now down to eight teams as we enter the quarter finals. Some big match ups here that will be tough to guess the winners. Get your vote on!

Victoria Royals vs Prince Albert Raiders

MT – Victoria managed to exact some revenge on the city that their original franchise moved to by eliminating them by nine votes. Voter turnout was low for that match up and the Royals will probably need more than 22 votes to get by a second straight “Prince”.

MT – The Raiders barely edged out the Blazers in round two, 13 votes 12. They’ll need much more fan support to knock off another BC Division team.
