From 24 different teams and 14 franchises down to the final 2. The second of five stops in the Tri-City Americans franchise will face off against the first stop of a franchise that no longer exists. The Billings Bighorns started out in Calgary as the Buffaloes, then changed to the Centennials before heading south to Billings, Montana. The Flin Flon Bombers were an original franchise playing out of Flin Flon, Manitoba. The franchise would head west to the Alberta capital and become the second coming of the Edmonton Oil Kings in 1979, however they would quickly venture south to Great Falls, Montana and be nicknamed the Americans. The last stop for this franchise would be Spokane, Washington as the Flyers, before the team would fold in 1982.
