Playoff History: Lethbridge Hurricanes vs. Red Deer Rebels

2017 Lethbridge won 4-3 1st Round, despite being 22 points behind the Hurricanes in the regular season, it would be the underdog Rebels staking themselves to a 3-1 series lead. The tide turned in game five as the Hurricanes crawled themselves back into the series with a 5-3 home ice win. In games six and seven the Rebels looked defeated and played that way. Ryan Vandervlis would score what would turn out to be the series clinching goal at 19:30 of the first period. Three more Hurricanes goals came to the Rebels one and the Canes would move on. Lethbridge would go down in six games to the Regina Pats in the East Conference final.
